HOW MUCH FOOD SHOULD YOU STORE FOR THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19).

In the wake of the Coranvirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it brings to mind the importance of emergency preparedness.  Most Americans go by with their everyday lives without worrying about potential disasters and epidemics that could disrupt their lives.  Despite numerous examples of hurricanes, tornadoes, and now outbreaks like COVID-19 Americans fail at personal preparedness.  Americans do so because most feel secure in that the government and care facilities will aid them in the event of an emergency.

What happens when hospitals fill-up or supply chains collapse, and you cannot obtain the means to sustain yourself and your family in the event of government failure to provide sustenance?  Do you want to take that risk?  Those are the questions individuals and families must ask themselves to prepare for such events.  I am not telling you to take out your life savings but just like you save money for emergencies and buy health and life insurance for untimely occurrences you should take some measures to prepare your family for emergencies.

Don't just take my word for it though, but take Dora Anne Mills the chief health improvement officer for MaineHealth, advice and start taking simple step such as storing two weeks of food, supplies, and medicine to insure your family is prepared for the COVID-19 pandemic.  Even if your family is not affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, you can rest assured with the peace of mind that you have supplies built up in case of the next emergency event.
