Description
The Smith & Wesson Model 19-5 is one of the most respected combat revolvers ever produced, combining the manageable K-frame size with the power of the .357 Magnum cartridge. Developed with input from legendary lawman Bill Jordan, the Model 19 became a benchmark for law enforcement and defensive revolvers throughout the latter half of the twentieth century. This compact 2 1/2-inch nickel-finished example offers excellent balance between concealability, shootability, and classic Smith & Wesson styling.
This revolver retains approximately 98% of its original nickel finish with only minor handling and contact wear visible. The bore remains near excellent with only light fouling near the forcing cone area. The service hammer and trigger still display attractive case-hardened colors, while the red ramp front sight and white outline adjustable rear sight provide the fast sight picture shooters appreciate on defensive revolvers.
The revolver is fitted with black Hogue Monogrips that provide a comfortable and secure grip under recoil while maintaining excellent control in a compact package. With its short barrel, bright nickel finish, and legendary Model 19 handling characteristics, this revolver remains equally appealing to collectors, concealed carry enthusiasts, and fans of classic Smith & Wesson wheelguns.
