USED Colt Combat Commander .45 ACP Electroless Nickel – Custom Shop O4612-LNK

This Colt Combat Commander .45 ACP is an especially attractive older Colt 1911 featuring an electroless nickel finish and traditional checkered wood grips with gold Colt medallions. The slide is roll marked “Combat Commander Colt Automatic Caliber .45”, while the frame carries serial number 80BS18903. The pistol retains the classic Commander configuration with approximately a 4.25-inch barrel, single-action operation, fixed sights and traditional Colt controls.

What makes this example particularly interesting is its accompanying Colt Custom Gun Shop packaging. The original-style box label identifies model O4612-LNK, serial 80BS18903, and describes it as a “Combat Commander .45 with Electroless Nickel.” That matching documentation provides valuable provenance for a finish/configuration that could otherwise be difficult to authenticate from photographs alone.

The pistol appears to be in excellent overall condition for its age, with the electroless nickel finish presenting very well and the wood stocks remaining attractive. The original box shows considerably more age and storage wear than the pistol itself, which is clearly visible in the photographs.
