Smith & Wesson Model 637
The Smith & Wesson Model 637 is a J-frame Airweight revolver chambered in .38 Special +P with a 1.875 inch barrel and 5-shot capacity. It is a modern Chiefs Special style revolver with an exposed hammer and single-action/double-action operation. A matte silver aluminum alloy frame is paired with a stainless steel barrel and cylinder to keep carry weight low.
The external hammer allows a single-action first shot when that is preferred, and double-action use covers typical defensive shooting. Integral front and fixed rear sights keep the sight picture simple and low profile. Black synthetic grips give a secure hold on the small frame.
At 6.3 inches overall and 14.3 oz, the 637 is built for concealed carry and backup use. Stainless barrel and cylinder construction is rated for .38 Special +P ammunition. This Airweight revolver is suited to personal defense where a light J-frame with an exposed hammer is preferred.
