Description
The Smith & Wesson Model 17 K-22 Masterpiece is one of the classic American rimfire target revolvers. Chambered in .22 LR with a 6-inch barrel, blued finish, adjustable rear sight, and traditional double-action/single-action operation, the Model 17 was built for precision, balance, and smooth range performance.
This example has several desirable collector features, including a pinned barrel, recessed cylinder, target hammer, and what appear to be original K-22 Masterpiece diamond target grips with Smith & Wesson medallions. The barrel is marked “.22 Long Rifle CTG”, and the revolver retains the classic K-frame profile that made the K-22 a favorite among target shooters and collectors.
Condition appears to be used with visible finish wear, spotting, and handling marks, especially along the barrel and high-contact metal surfaces. Even with the cosmetic wear, this is a desirable vintage-style Smith & Wesson rimfire revolver for collectors, target shooters, and anyone wanting a classic 6-shot .22 LR with excellent balance and old-school craftsmanship.
