The Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum with a 20 inch cold hammer-forged stainless barrel. It wears a black Hogue OverMolded stock that gives a soft, recoil-absorbing feel. Express-style sights include a large white bead front and a shallow windage-adjustable V-notch rear for fast target acquisition.

A Mauser-type controlled-round-feed extractor and a fixed blade ejector provide positive extraction and ejection. The hinged solid-steel floorplate has an engraved Ruger logo and a flush latch. A three-position safety lets the bolt be locked or the rifle loaded and unloaded with the safety on. The LC6 trigger offers a smooth, crisp pull, and integral scope mounts on the receiver accept the included rings.
